Salon Solatte Gradual Tanning Mousse & Moisturizer contains dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA is an FDA-approved color additive for externally applied cosmetics made for imparting color to the human body. DHA and erythrulose, a related substance, work safely with the skin to form dark compounds in the same way that a freshly cut apple darkens upon exposure to air and light.
DHA is the ingredient used by most tanning salons for spray tanning.
While normally non-irritating, the formula may cause reactions in some individuals who are sensitive to self-tanning lotions or cosmetics. If you have a pre-existing skin disorder, or if you have asthma, you may want to check with your doctor before use.
DHA blends with the skin to create a deep, lustrous, gradual tan in 24-48 hours. The color remains - not the DHA - until the skin begins to naturally flake, the phenomenon that causes your tan to fade. Use a moisturizer regularly to prolong your perfect tan.
Try not to get DHA in your eyes, but if it happens, quickly flush your eyes with water.
This is a mousse that cannot be inhaled like a spray, making it a good choice if you have a history of asthma or other respiratory disorders.
To tan your face safely, apply a small amount of Salon Solatte Gradual Tanning Mousse & Moisturizer to your face with your fingertips. Do not apply to your lips or eyelids. It may cause mild irritation to eyes.
It's always fun to have help, but you can still apply Salon Solatte Gradual Tanning Mousse & Moisturizer when alone. If necessary, simply apply the tanning mousse to as much of your back as you can, then use a soft back-brush or cloth to spread the mousse to hard-to-reach places.
A gradual tan develops during the 48 hours after the application.
If applied correctly (including no showering for 4 to 6 hours), the tan from your Salon Solatte Gradual Tanning Mousse & Moisturizer should last up to 7 days. Results may vary for each individual.
